Debra had a very clear vision for this new piece: She wanted the dancers to feel like birds without looking like them. She asked that I abstract them to the point that the audience gets a gesture or feeling of birds, but needs to see the full piece through to understand the true nature. The ombre represents the colors of each of the different types of birds: the Titmices, Chickadees, Robins, Song Sparrows, Crows, and  Mourning Doves.
